From Jan, 1, 2009, Vietnam Railways
and China railways start to run new border crossing trains between Hanoi
and Nanning. This MR1/MR2 train runs every day. From Nanning to other
Chinese destinations, express MR1/MR2 trains run everyday at both ends
from Vietnam and China. Traditional International train to Beijing
becomes M1 train China limited express from Nanning. (MR2 train runs
daily from Nanning.) +Enjoy more convenient rail trip between Vietnam

you may be asked to get off and wait on the platform for an hour or two
